The first International Circular Hydrometallurgy Symposium (ICHS 2024), organised by SOLVOMET – KU Leuven’s Research and Innovation Centre for Circular Hydrometallurgy, will take place in Mechelen, Belgium, between 9-11 September.
Meet representatives of the PEACOC project at ICHS 2024
The research team at VITO will present results on the use of microwave-assisted leaching (MWAL) – a technology refined in the PEACOC project to extract efficiently precious metals, notably platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd) and rhodium (Rh) from spent autocatalysts (SACs), respectively silver (Ag) and gold (Au) from pretreated end-of-life (EoL) photovoltaic panels and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
